ambient.01@hyperreal(November 7, 2000)
a 2 CD set of music created by members of the ambient music list at hyperreal.org
... featuring Ambient Temple of Imagination, Forrest Fang, Deep Chill Network, dreamSTATE
... a total of 24 tracks by 24 artists, most presenting rare and previously unissued
music, some specifically recorded for this project ... over 6 hours of music was
submitted, from which the members of the list selected the pieces to be included
... cover art was taken from over a dozen choices ... the music on the first CD
ranges from beat oriented electronic escapes to pulses washed with textures, while
the second CD is more sparsely rhythmical, containing beatless chill and a few abstract
concepts ... a representation of ambient soundscapes here and there ...
